The transition of an ND Soft Grad filter is a more subtle transition from clear to dark. This is great for shooting with a crowded horizon and also means it is harder to spot that a filter has been used in the image.

This ND Soft Grad 100mm Pro Glass Filter can be positioned in a frame that consists of a dark and shadowed foreground with a bright background such as a sunset. By using an ND Soft Grad all of that detail in the image can be captured, without risk of over/under exposure and loss of detail.
