The SRB Black and White Filter Set adds a whole new dimension to black and white photography with coloured filters that control the reproduction of colours in terms of grey.

A black & white filter will lighten any colour that is similar to its own, and darken other colours.

red filter

The Red Filter gives exaggerated cloud effect and simulates a night effect (by slight under exposure). It also cuts through ambient UV haze and gives stark contrast to light coloured buildings against a deep sky. The red filter darkens green objects and lightens reds and yellow objects.

orange filter

The Orange Filter enables strong cloud effect and increases outdoor contrasts. As well as eliminating UV and haze, this filter enhances the rendering for surface textures on brickwork and stone. It also enhances deeper coloured woods, furniture for example, while being ideal for portrait photography as it subdues lips and reddish facial blemishes. The orange filter darkens blue and green objects and lightens red, orange and yellow objects.

The Yellow Filter enhances cloud effect by darkening blue skies. This filter slightly absorbs UV for haze penetration and improves contrast for building against a blue sky. The yellow filter darkens blue objects and lightens yellow objects.

green filter

The Green Filter helps contrast for fields, flowers, trees etc, by lightening foliage. This filter slightly absorbs UV and helps cloud effect. For portrait photography it darkens suntanned skin, while exaggerating freckles and skin blemishes. The green filter darkens orange and red objects and lightens green objects.
